I'm one of those kids that grew up on Gravity Falls, and I can attest; Not only did I fall in love with the incredible writing on the show, but also with its meta-mysteries and ciphers. It set me up for a domino effect that encouraged me to learn more cryptography, pursue computer science, and even earn recognition for it. I haven't really seen many article talk about how geniunely cool it is to play with crytography, especially as a child, and couldn't help but be reminded of my own experiences. Thanks for this.
