I've got to agree with this take. Inside Out 2 is definitely one of the better animated movies released in a long time. That being said, I wished it utilized its new characters more, including the newly introduced emotions like Ennui and Envy as well it's one-off joke characters like Bloofy and Lance Slashblade. It also inevitably lacked the novelty of its predecessor and seemed to rely on much of the same loose plot points. While this movie wasn't a complete re-hash of the original, it was vaguely familiar enough to become noticeable.

Nonetheless, the film was particularly impactful to me as someone who continues to struggle with anxiety.
