It’s lots of fun!

I didn’t have much expectations going into this. It was just another kids’ movie that was featured on Netflix’s page.

Secret Magic Control Agency is your typical kids’ film produced from the sticky syrup of melted contrived concept ideas. Its a spy film set in a fairy tale land where estranged siblings Hansel and Gretel are forced to work together to solve the disappearance of the king. As expected, over the course of the film, Hansel and Gretel learn the importance of family.

Despite its predicatable plot, Secret Magic Control Agency managed to keep me entertained. Its visuals are charming. Its story is sweet nonetheless. The emotional beats still hit strong.

Its one of those movies I’d imagine myself watching again and again on TV re-runs. (But with streaming services gaining popularity, I’m not sure if that’ll still be a thing 5 years from now.)

Its memorable. Its fun. Its lighthearted. Perfect for a boring night with nothing to watch.
